Improved Search Functionality

Our top navigation section allows you to search by different categories. Each category has its own search landing page, where you can search by date, speaker, topic, or type.

By Date: Find speeches from any year in our archive from 1946 to 2017 (and one from 1892).

By Speaker: Search more than 850 speakers for a wealth of inspiring messages.

By Topic: Enhance your personal study by browsing through our topical search.

By Type: Filter your search by one of our speech categories: devotionals, forums, commencement addresses, university conferences, Classic Speeches, and By Study and By Faith. Classic Speeches and By Study and By Faith are two categories curated to enhance your BYU Speeches browsing experience. Classic Speeches houses a collection of our most beloved archival talks. By Study and By Faith combines scholarly research with gospel principles—a keystone of a BYU education.

You can also access a list of our most popular speeches by selecting “Most Viewed” in the top navigation bar.

Discovering Your Next Favorite Speech

We’ve done some things to help you discover content you aren’t necessarily looking for but will be happy you found.

Content on the homepage changes daily, introducing you to a variety of designed quotes, video highlights, selected speeches from our archives, and blog posts.

With a new speech being given nearly every week, we are constantly adding to our archive. In the Recent Speeches section, you can stay up-to-date with campus devotionals and forums.

Our Featured Speeches section helps you discover new talks from our extensive archive of nearly 2,000 speeches.

Staying in Touch

We invite you to watch our weekly devotionals and forums live in the BYU Marriott Center or via BYUtv.

We offer two podcasts to help add inspiration in your life: Recent Speeches, updated weekly from our on-campus assemblies, and Classic Speeches, updated weekly with our most-loved archival speeches.

Downloadable Content

You can download text and audio of our speeches via the download button on individual speech pages. We are also happy to announce that video will be available to download in the coming months.

We hope you have an enjoyable experience on the BYU Speeches site.
