Christopher Mattson is a professor of mechanical engineering at Brigham Young University. He graduated with a BS and then MS in 2001 from BYU. Following this, Dr. Mattson gained a PhD from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2003.
He worked as the Global Director of Engineering Design and Research at ATL Technology from 2004-2006 where he conducted research in design automation of electrical contacts and lived in Guangzhou, China for over a year, establishing an engineering design center. He became an assistant professor at Brigham Young University in 2006 and has since been promoted to professor. Dr. Mattson took a sabbatical at the Loughborough Design School in England from 2014-2015 and earned the title of Fullbright Scholar.
