Paul B. Farnsworth is a professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Brother Farnsworth completed his undergraduate education in chemistry at BYU with a two-year interruption to serve in the Germany South Mission. He earned his PhD in analytical chemistry at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. After a postdoctoral appointment at Indiana University, he joined the BYU faculty in 1983. He just completed six years of service as the chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
In his spare time, he is an avid cyclist and backpacker. He is married to Elizabeth Laycock.
