Kevin Utt is the director of the Honor Code Office (HCO) at BYU. Prior to working at BYU, he worked as a dean of students and as the coordinator of residence life at universities across the Midwest. He earned his bachelor’s in psychology from Hanover College in 2004 and his master’s in higher education and student affairs in 2006 from Indiana University Bloomington.
After Utt was named director of the HCO in January 2019, he immediately began conducting surveys, meeting with students, and examining the Honor Code to see where improvements could be made. Those who know him take notice of his kindness and understanding for each student’s unique situation.
Utt and his wife, Tobiaire, have been married for 19 years. They are the parents of four children.
