Teddy Eugene Brewerton was an emeritus General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Elder Brewerton was born on March 30, 1925, in Alberta, Canada. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II and served a full-time mission for the Church in Uruguay. In 1949, he graduated from the University of Alberta after studying pharmaceutical chemistry. He married Dorothy Hall on February 11, 1955. He owned and operated a medical-center apothecary in Calgary, Canada, and was honored with the Bowl of Hygeia for outstanding service outside the profession of pharmacy. From 1965 to 1968, he and his wife served as mission leaders of the Central American Mission, which included the countries Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and Venezuela.
Elder Brewerton was called as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy in 1978. He also served as Second Counselor in the Sunday School General Presidency. He and his wife later served together as president and matron of the Mexico City Mexico Temple from 1997 to 1999.
Elder Brewerton passed away on September 17, 2021, in Holladay, UT. He had six children.
